About our classes

Kids learn the fundamentals of movement by exploring their environment in a fun and engaging way through running, jumping and climbing. Our curriculum ensures that each class is educational, focusing on parkour technique, problem solving and teamwork. The academy runs a structured program for youth with a ranking system that aims to shape the competence and goals of our young students so they can improve their Parkour skills in a safe, fun and structured manner.

Students are placed in one of five youth categories based on their age and skill level, each with its own standards and progressions, to increase students’ Parkour abilities. Students will need to master a certain skill level in each category before they graduate to the next level.

Wallabies (3-4 YRS)
Wallabies is the entry level of our kids academy and will begin the journey of our youngest students to explore spaces and their body’s ability. Little kangaroo is growing quickly and this level aims to set an introduction to parkour and movement in a very playful manner. Setting a foundation for a safe practice and developing essential motor skills starts at a young age.
Flying Squirrels
Flying Squirrels (5-7 YRS)
Flying Squirrel is the first level in the ranking system to have two sub levels. The animal totem represents lightness of movement and agility. Flying Squirrel covers all the foundations in terms of technique, but also starts introducing parkour’s philosophy and concept such as quality of movement, creativity, control of movement and simple challenges to overcome.
Spider Monkeys
Spider Monkeys (8-10 YRS)
The Spider Monkey is the most intelligent of the New World monkeys, has long limbs and is highly agile. This level builds on the skills learned in Flying Squirrels and teaches more parkour basics, foundational movements and concepts, and more techniques to play with. Spider Monkeys also focuses on promoting team work, leadership skills, quality and responsibilities, highlighting the mind and body approach to parkour.
Thundercats (11-13 YRS)
Thundercats start taking parkour to a different level where technique, physical and mental abilities are developed and combined for optimum results. At this age, students start developing more strength as well as the capacity to focus more and for a longer period of time, which as a result opens doors to expand the range of movements and possibilities. It is also an important phase where concepts of responsible actions and quality of movement make the most sense.
Falcons (14-16 YRS)
Falcon characterises nobility, character, elegance, strength, speed and accuracy. At an age where the youth move toward adulthood, Falcons is the last step before entering the adult academy at Parkour DXB. In continuity with all the previous levels, we’re now looking at developing young athletes that can move well, with strong and prepared bodies and a deeper understanding of risk management, overcoming fears and how the benefits of parkour translate into other areas of their lives.
